Two containers, hello and db, exited right after they started. Both are missing configuration.
Find them and read why hello stopped:
sh
docker ps -a
docker logs helloRecreate hello with the variables the greeter needs:
sh
docker rm hello
docker run -d --name hello -p 8080:8080 -e GREETING=Hello -e NAME=ops stackmonsters/greeter:1.0
curl -s localhost:8080List the environment inside hello. One variable you did not set comes from the image:
Start a second greeter from the settings in ~/team.env:
sh
cat ~/team.env
docker run -d --name team -p 8081:8080 --env-file ~/team.env stackmonsters/greeter:1.0
curl -s localhost:8081Last, db. Read docker logs db, remove it, and run it again from postgres:16 with the variable the error asks for. Postgres takes a few seconds to report database system is ready to accept connections.
